ABOUT ME
DR. MICHELLE STELLA
As an athlete myself, I have overcome many injuries. At a young age, a serious back injury introduced me to the Physical Therapy field and inspired me to become a Physical Therapist. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with my doctorate in Physical Therapy. I have practiced as a physical therapist for 5 years and continued my education through certifications in Manual Therapy and Dry Needling. I am also Board Certified in Orthopedics (OCS) and implement this knowledge throughout my treatments to address the body as a whole to optimize outcomes. In my free time you can find me hiking, training for a marathon, traveling, doing yoga, or skiing. My true passion is using my knowledge to help my patients get back to doing what they love.

My style of evaluation involves addressing the body as a whole, analyzing how you are moving throughout your body and identifying other factors that are playing a role, then developing a thorough program to best address your goals. Itโs becoming too common to receive suboptimal care in todayโs healthcare system. As an athlete & patient myself, I have a deep understanding of what injuries feel like and I recognize how difficult rehabilitation can be both physically and mentally; I am here to make that process as positive and successful as possible.
Whether you have been dealing with chronic pain, recurrent injuries, or an acute injury, I will show you how to treat your body in the most effective way, feel better and stay better. I also offer injury prevention screenings, movement analyses & personalized training programs to make sure you are feeling bulletproof and maximizing your fitness in every aspect to crush it on the days that really matter.

I practice with a manual therapy based evaluation & treatment approach, implementing treatments such as joint manipulation, dry needling, cupping, taping, instrument assisted mobilization, and soft tissue mobilization followed by exercises to maintain and continue improving to achieve your goals.
